Bedsox Laundry-free Linens

Picture
Guys, I've got something new and cool to tell you about.  I've been trying it out for about the last month, and I can definitely recommend this product!

The product I'm talking about is called Bedsox (also referred to as "laundry-free linens"), by Beantown Bedding.  Basically, they're disposable sheets!  And not only are they disposable, but they're biodegradable and compostable too!  And guess what they're made of?  Go ahead, guess...  Tencel fiber, which comes from Eucalyptus tree wood pulp.

The idea behind Bedsox is that college students just don't take the time to do laundry very often.  And with (responsibly) disposable sheets, they can "maintaian a healthier living environment."  Students can simply put these linens on their bed, use them for several weeks, and then either compost them or simply throw them away.  And save energy, water and time in the process.

The folks at Beantown Bedding were kind enough to send me a pillowcase so I could give Bedsox a try... You can color me impressed!  They're really soft, there's no odor at all, and they look just like any other sheets.  What more could you want? (other than not having to wash them)

Buy some for your room (or your kid's room), as a gift for a "green" friend, for your next toga party, to use at that cheap hotel you stay in on those road trips, in the camper, or any time you need clean sheets but don't want to wash them.
