I Have a Twin!Seth Bykofsky, "The College Whisperer" of Long Island, NY, does much the same as College Answer Guy (and does it well)!
Through a group I'm in for college counselors on LinkedIn, I became aware of Seth as The College Whisperer, and have really enjoyed reading his blog Seth Bykofsky, "The College Whisperer" of Long Island, NY, does much the same work as College Answer Guy (and does it well)! Through a group I'm in for college counselors on LinkedIn, I became aware of Seth as The College Whisperer, and have really enjoyed reading his blog by the same name. In fact, it appears he and I do much the same things, write about similar topics, see things the same way (scary thought, that there might be two people who look at things like I do...), and most importantly, help students go to and succeed in college. His two posts I liked the most are: Whose State U is it Anyway? - about students who overlook schools in their own state (and back yard), thinking 'out-of-state' is the way to go. and Get the Inside Track on Campus Life - detailing ways for students to find out what life will really be like at college, and not like the web sites and other literature try to make you think. He also blogged about Toy Story 3, like I did in my last post... Like me and my CollegePrep-101 web site, The College Whisperer also has another web site -College Connect. There you can hire him to help you through the college preparation, application and selection processes - a good idea for many. Seth gives away a bunch of information for free (through The College Whisperer), and lets you pay him to help you in more depth (through College Connect), if you want (just like me and my books, College Prep 101 and How to Go to College Cheaper). So anyway, I guess I'm not the only person in the world out there trying to help you guys figure out this college thing. It looks like I have a twin in Long Island, NY! It would appear, though, that the conditions in Long Island are more favorable to two things: height and hair! Aparently, Seth is taller than me, and judging from his picture, he has more hair than I do (probably was Mom's favorite too)! Anyway, I think people make better decisions with more information. So going with that theme, check out Seth Bykofsky's blog and web site. I think you'll be glad you did. Back to Articles List |
